Reports to: Director of People and Culture.
Work Pattern: 20 hours per week, Flexible working hours.

INTRODUCTION
All4Aid is a registered, Christian nonprofit organisation with a mandate to work with and in support of displaced people. Our vision is “displaced people attaining life in all its fullness” (John 10:10b). Although our central office is located in Frankfurt, Germany, currently most of our work is based on the islands of Lesvos, Greece and Cyprus – two entry points for refugees entering Europe.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Short-term Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of recruiting, engaging, scheduling and building relationships with the short-term volunteers who work alongside our full-time, local staff in Lesvos, Greece and Cyprus. This important role promotes volunteer opportunities at the All4Aid centres to persons who have reached out expressing interest via our website, through personal connections, or via direct application.
Under the coordination of the Director of People and Culture, the Post-Holder will have a primary focus on following-up on volunteer interest, conducting and facilitating interviews, reviewing personal and/or professional references, communicating the mission and work of All4Aid, scheduling volunteers’ visits, placing volunteers in best-suited locations/positions, providing orientations, and coordinating exit interviews.
The Post-Holder will also support the overall goals of All4Aid at our community centres, where short-term volunteers are integral to successfully serving our beneficiaries. The Post-Holder will communicate with the centres’ coordinators to stay up-to-date on staffing needs, potential work projects, and the general personnel environment at each centre – enabling the Post-Holder to place short-term volunteers most effectively. The Post-Holder will also be expected to communicate with the administration team, giving feedback and places for improvement based on volunteer experiences.
For the successful performance of the role, the Post-Holder will bring some knowledge and experience in the non-profit and/or social sector and a good understanding of it being applied in missional and/or multicultural context, preferably among displaced people. Ideally, the Post-Holder has previous experience recruiting for positions and/or working with volunteers.
