FRANKFURT AREA, GERMANY
All4Aid Initiative

All4Aid’s work in the Frankfurt Area has deep roots. Beginning in 2012—long before the organisation was founded—refugees were welcomed and supported through the local church pastored by our founder, Rev. Rodrigo Assis da Silva. Families received help with language learning, CV preparation and job search, paperwork support, and other everyday needs. These early experiences shaped the vision that eventually led to the founding of All4Aid in 2018.

EARLY INITIATIVES IN THE FRANKFURT AREA

From 2018 to 2019, All4Aid implemented programmes for children living in the Sportsfield Refugee Shelter in the Wolfgang district of Hanau. These included a week-long Football Camp, regular English tutoring and homework support, and house visitations to offer practical support and strengthen relationships with the families. This chapter came to a close in 2019 when the refugee shelter in Hanau was shut down and All4Aid began new work in Lesvos, Greece. Between 2020 and 2024, All4Aid continued to support refugees in the Frankfurt Area in a non-programmatic way and whenever possible on a case-by-case basis.

OUR WORK TODAY IN THE FRANKFURT AREA

In 2025, a new opportunity arose to resume more structured programme work in the Frankfurt Area. A local church that had been offering language support to Afghan mothers had to discontinue its activities. By invitation of the former volunteer—and at the request of the leadership of the shelter where those women lived—we stepped in and launched a similar initiative to fill that gap. Our work now takes place in the town of Oberursel and includes:

1. GERMAN CLASSES FOR AHFGAN WOMEN (WITH CHILDCARE)

We provide a safe and welcoming environment where women can learn German at a pace suited to their needs. Many are young mothers with limited formal education or literacy in their own language, making mainstream courses difficult to access. Alongside language learning, the classes offer practical support, friendship, and space for the women to grow in confidence—while their children are cared for in a warm, child-friendly setting.

2. HOUSE VISITATIONS

Our volunteers regularly visit families living in local accommodation, offering practical help, listening support, and guidance in navigating daily life in Germany. These visits build trust, reduce isolation, and help families address challenges related to documentation, appointments, and integration.

3. ENGLISH TUTORING FOR CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

We offer personalised English lessons for children and young people, supporting their schoolwork and helping them strengthen their language skills. These sessions not only build academic confidence but also provide encouragement and stability during a season of transition.

BUILDING COMMUNITY AND BELONGING

Across all activities, our goal remains the same: to foster dignity, connection, and hope as displaced families rebuild their lives in Germany. Through friendship, hospitality, and practical support, we seek to reflect God’s love and accompany people with compassion and respect.
