At All4Aid’s Community Shop in Lesvos, refugees can choose clothes, hygiene items, and other essentials — always free of charge and in a dignified way, just like in any regular shop.
One afternoon, a young woman and an older woman — perhaps her grandmother — were carefully choosing what they needed. Both had access to the same support, yet each kept insisting the other should take more. The older woman quietly tried to put back clothes she needed, while the younger one insisted she could wait.
Neither of them was thinking first about themselves, but about each other. ❤️
