Our Community Centre in Larnaca, Cyprus, is a hub of activity, and the outdoor waiting area is a vital space for those participating in our various programmes. Shielding everyone from the intense Cypriot sun is crucial for their comfort.
Unfortunately, our old sun shade had seen better days. Years of sun, climbing vines, and trapped rainwater had left it sagging and in need of urgent replacement.
We’re happy to announce that thanks to the incredible dedication of two skilled volunteers from our Larnaca community, Brian and Lenny, we now have a fantastic new sun shade! They worked tirelessly for around three weeks to build this sturdy and welcoming structure.
This new shade isn’t just about protection from the heat; it’s about creating a more comfortable and inviting space for our community to gather, connect, and access the support they need. Thank you, Brian and Lenny, for your amazing contribution!
