At our Community Centre in Lesvos, hair care is so much more than just a quick trim or braid. It’s a moment of connection, a chance to relax, and a way to restore a sense of normalcy for the women and children we serve. After showering, they can visit our dedicated hair care area, complete with mirrors and tools, where volunteers offer their skills and share kindness, love, and attention.
Whether it’s drying, combing, straightening, curling, braiding, or a simple cut, the experience offers a moment of pampering. Women can relax and enjoy being cared for. Mothers can appreciate a little bit of “me time” when volunteers help with their children’s hair. It’s a beautiful exchange of support and a chance to build community.
