New Shower for Children on Lesvos!

At All4Aid Lesvos, we strive to create a safe and comfortable environment especially for refugee women and children. Recently, we noticed a concerning trend: some children would start crying during their showers.

One possible reason for this could be the trauma they experienced while crossing the sea. Recognising this and relying on the feedback of the refugee women who use our shower facilities each day, we decided to take action.

Previously, our showers had only one option: a high-mounted head with a high pressure water flow. Last week, as a test,  we added a pull out shower head to one of our shower rooms. This new option allows for a gentler water flow, probably making showers less overwhelming for children.

We hope this small change makes a big difference, turning shower time into a calmer and more positive experience for the children.
