Living Timber Woodwork Project

This past June we started a new project on the island of Lesvos, Greece! Living Timber is a woodworking project focused on refugee men. Everyday, our long-term workers Herbert Keller and Chris Carson are working outside with the men taking old wooden pallets and repurposing them into new things such as bookshelves, tables and chairs. The refugee men are able to work alongside Herbert and Chris, learning how to construct the items and building friendships. One refugee recently said he is very excited to feel useful and be able do something with his hands again. We look forward to seeing what they continue to make!
